Reviews and Ratings
I couldn't resist the upgrade for a small fee to a room near the main corridor door despite the occasional noise. The 'sea view' was a bit of a stretch, but the room itself, though a bit dated with an ancient TV, was surprisingly cozy.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of charming character and slight chilliness in the mornings, but the lovely terrace view made up for it. The rooms were a bit dated, without windows in the bathroom, yet cozy, and the service was a mix of brilliance and rush. The fantastic location overlooking Pegwell Bay made exploring Thanet a delight, even with a tired TV set. The dining experience offered a good variety but could improve the buffet setup. Overall, a hotel with history and access to nearby attractions.
The hotel has some lovely aspects such as a charming bay view, but the rooms are far too small with limited space. The service is very nice and friendly, however, the location is scenic but quite far from the town center with only a couple of nearby pubs. The dining was good and offered a pleasant view of the bay, but was not included in the room rate. Overall, it has its charms but comes with limitations.
